Mission
Our Mission
The Youth Alliance (TYA) is a multifaceted, non-profit organization that impacts the lives of youth, families, and communities across the country. The mission of the TYA is to encourage, train, and equip youth with the necessary tools to break the chains of poverty, addiction, and psychological and spiritual under-achievement. TYA works in cooperation with other community-based organizations throughout the country to instill a passion for success in the hearts of youth. TYA works to inspire a commitment to achievement through personal efforts by encouraging youth to discover, develop, and apply their strengths, talents and abilities.
Our Vision
The vision of The Youth Alliance (TYA) is to establish and maintain a variety of resources to help educate and empower youth, families, and community members across the United States. TYA strives to prepare and assist youth for the many challenges in which they face on a daily basis. In order to achieve its goals, TYA will collaborate with other organizations through special events, youth assemblies and programs, and establishing community and youth centers in order to promote the mission of TYA.
Our Message
“Today’s youth are bombarded by messages of what it takes to be cool. For some, cool is being in a gang. For others, it’s drugs, alcohol, or sex. We believe that youth need to discover and understand who they are before they can make sound decisions about their future. They need to know what they believe in, what they are good at, what their goals and dreams are. Our focus is to assist and support youth to discover their dreams, inspiring them to achieve their goals and encouraging them to be true to themselves. We believe that it is unacceptable for youth to sacrifice their goals to peer pressure, violence or victimization. Our desire is to help youth overcome adversity by promoting a message of hope. We, at The Youth Alliance (TYA) excel at working with troubled youth, because we provide acceptance, love, and respect. Our goal is to inspire youth to become the leaders of tomorrow and to overcome the many challenges they may face in their home, school, or community.” – TYA
